Simple File Manager (SFM)

Simple File Manager (SFM) is a web based file management utility. It is designed to be used by those that don't want to or SHOULD NOT use ftp. It can be dropped into a specific directory and give access to that directory as well as any directory below it. It can be placed in a specific directory and configured to give access to other directories outside of its location (centralized).SFM gives its user upload, create file, rename, delete, copy/move files, directory creation as well as directory navigation, it also includes an image viewer, text viewer and mime type downloading. It can be configured to "turn-off" scripts when uploading to increase security.

cjgExplorer is a Web-based file explorer written in php. The look and feel resembles the windows explorer's. The user can navigate thru the folder tree under the configured root. On each folder, the user can view, copy, delete, move, rename, change permissions and edit the files. Archiving and remote extraction are supported (Tar, Tgz and Zip formats). Text and hexadecimal editing supported. Download and upload of multiple files, including zip-and-download one step function. Recursive folder copy and deletion are allowed. Stores and shows session history (visited folders and executed functions). Finds files and folders under the whole tree using name patterns. Currently works only for IE 5+.

PHPFM

PHPFM is an open source file manager written in PHP. It is easy to set up for a beginner, but still easy to customize for the more experienced user. The built-in login system makes sure that only people with the right username and password gains access to PHPFM, however, you can also choose to disable the login system and use PHPFM for public access. It can currently: create, rename and delete folders; create, upload, rename, download and delete files; edit text files; view image files; sort files by name, size, permissions and last modification date both ascending and descending; communicate in more languages.
