Color And Font Chooser

The author writes "I used to face some difficulty in choosing background or foreground colors for my applications as the colors provided in java.awt.Color are too few. In the beginning I used to randomly select three integers for the constructor of Color class, apply it, and then see the effect. If not satisfied, then the integers had to be changed, the code compiled and run again to see the effect. After numerous trials I was able to get a color of my choice. To make things easier this applet was written. Of course, if one is using javax.swing package this applet is not required as a class for this very purpose is provided. But for awt buffs this applet would be of some help. Recently, I have also added the functionality of trying out different fonts too."

This program allows you to represent dynamic tables on your html page. You just have to give a data file name and the columns definitions in parameter and the applet do all the work. User can navigate in the table using keyboard or mouse, change the columns size. CAGrid is based of the CJGrid class. Implementing the CDataSet interface of CJGrid allow you to use it in your own development.

y-notes

y-notes is a simple system which allows you to specify spots in your web pages to which your website's visitors will be able to sticknotes. For the the web user, y-notes provide a convenient way to add annotations to a web site without having to go into the messy business of managing a large set of bookmarks. Also, the notes are kept at the server so that users can retrieve them at a later time and use them as a navigation aid. For the site maintainer, y-notes provides an easy and automatic way of gathering user feedback and improving the site design. The main component of y-notes is a tiny Java(tm) applet.
